Water Beads, soak 6 - 8 hours to transform from little dry pellets into shiny beads of water. Add to plants, the garden, hanging baskets, or fresh cut flower arrangements for wedding decorations. Water Beads are a superior water-absorbing crossed linked polyacrylamide co-polymer with a proven lifespan of 2 years in direct sunlight or 5-7 years when mixed into potting soil. They have the capacity to absorb and release up to 400 times their weight in water. Used for Indoor Plant Care & Outdoor Gardening! Add contents of 1 tube to 2 cups water and wait 6 - 8 hours. Because of their storage capacity, when properly applied, Water Beads can reduce watering frequency by up to 75%. They promote faster seed germination by holding water and nutrients near the root zone. Can be used for growing Herb Gardens from seed (see our links page) & Wheatgrass. Enhances stronger root growth by releasing water and nutrients during stress periods resulting in more efficient water use by improving soil conditions for healthier and stronger plants.
When
using for fresh cut flowers it gets even better! Before to get the most
out of your flowers you have had to change the water every 2 days, make
fresh cuts, & add more flower food and so on. The reason is because
as soon as you make that 1st cut and place them into water they begin to
rot and the water is slowly turning to muck. That much handling alone
is enough to shorten the life span of your flowers. But now if you use Water
Beads, all you have to do is make that first cut, add them to a vase
of water beads and enjoy! That 1st cut is enough to begin the vacuum
process and the flowers only pull as much moisture as they need. No need
to make cuts every 2 days or change dirty water. That 1 cut is enough
when using Water Beads for your fresh cut flowers to last for up to 2
weeks. When using with fresh cut flowers rinse your beads about once every 1.5 months.
Water Beads can be used without soil with water-loving plants such as Bamboo, Arrowhead, Chinese Evergreen, Dracaena, Peace Lily, Red Prayer Plant, Philodendron, Dieffenbachia, Spider Plant, and Ivy (from cuttings only); to name a few.
