Lucky Bamboo plant is not really a bamboo plant. It is a Dracaena Sanderiana and also known as known as Lucky Bamboo, Ribbon Dracaena, Belgian Evergreen or sometimes Ribbon Plant. It is a member of the lily family that grows in the dark, tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and Africa.
Lucky Bamboos are indoor plants and should be keep out of direct sunlight and don't use tap water. It looks great in the water beads, but can also be potted in soil. The plants are measured from the roots to the top of the stem.
Specifications
Using filtered, bottled or rainwater for your Lucky Bamboo plant keeps the plant healthiest.
If your water is high in fluoride levels do not use it for your plant. Fluoride is toxic to Lucky Bamboo and it does not evaporate.
Never place your plant on a sunny windowsill as the direct sunlight is too strong and the leaves will scorch.
The optimum temperature for a bamboo plant is between 65 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grows well with occasional feedings of a diluted plant food solution.
